Aug.-8-Gene's office:
The ride to the office was about 10 minutes and the place was packed and all around the building were tables and chairs set-up for the lunch that was cold-cuts fruits etc. much like the museum lunch.
The inside was much bigger then what it looked like from outside with a large guest area in the center of the building. It had a fireplace with chairs and couches all around with a smaller version of Gene's museum statue that was the center piece in that room. The whole place was decked out with western decor bronze statues and Gene's awards with Gene's office just off from that guest area. Maxine was at the head of Gene's desk chair shouting get your picture taken in Gene's chair and the flashes started going off as the fans took their turns in the Man's chair. You can just feel the million dollar deals that must have been made across that table and here I was sitting at it. In the reception area fans were signing the Melody Ranch group picture that the gals had set on poster board and we added our names then headed out to the back where the feed was set-up. After lunch we bid the gals farewell, thanked them and loaded the bus back to the Sportsman. Did a pit-stop and loaded the van for the uneventful 5 hour drive home.
